Villa Rica, GA (September 24, 2019) – Douglas County officials responded to the scene of a multi-vehicle accident this morning in Villa Rica that caused injuries to multiple victims.
The accident took place in the eastbound lanes of the highway, causing heavy delays in the two left lanes of traffic. Though police do not know exactly how many vehicles were involved, they believe it was three or more. Two of the vehicles involved were seen being loaded onto the back of tow trucks.
The exact cause of the accident is not known but the vehicles involved had various serious damages to them. Police urged those in the area to use Highway 78 as an alternate until they cleared the scene.
The investigation into the circumstances of the crash is ongoing at this time.
