Lithia Springs, GA (September 24, 2019) – Around 8 a.m. this morning, police and other emergency responders were called to the scene of a car accident at a Lithia Springs intersection.
According to authorities, the crash took place when multiple vehicles collided in the intersection of Highway 78 and Thornton Road. The crash was so severe that it completely blocked the right lane of traffic, leading to massive delays in the area.
Police did not comment on the exact circumstances of the accident but photographs taken at the scene of the crash showed a vehicle being towed from the scene and immense damages to the vehicles involved. Paramedics were present at the scene assisting those with injuries, though we do not know their conditions at this time.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident is currently ongoing.
