Villa Rica, GA (September 6, 2019) – This afternoon, police issued a red alert after a serious car accident took place that led to injuries on I-20 in Villa Rica.
Police did not comment on the exact circumstances of the accident but have said that it took place on Interstate 20 in the westbound lanes and involved several vehicles.
Paramedics and other emergency services were immediately dispatched to the scene of the crash to assist those with injuries. Unfortunately, we do not know their conditions at this time.
All lanes of traffic were blocked following the accident and police directed traffic to the Covington Highway.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident is ongoing at this time.
