Savannah, GA (September 23, 2019) – Around 11 a.m. this morning, police responded to a multi-vehicle crash that took place on the Talmadge Memorial Bridge in Savannah.
The accident, which took place on the bridge connecting Georgia to South Carolina, took place when three vehicles collided with one another. The crash occurred when one vehicle had been traveling southbound and suddenly crossed the center line. This caused the vehicle to strike two vehicles that had been traveling northbound.
The driver and passenger inside one of the northbound vehicles were taken to the hospital with a variety of injuries. There has been no word on their conditions.
Traffic on the bridge reopened around 1 p.m. The investigation into the accident is currently ongoing.
