Pelham, GA (September 5, 2019) – On Wednesday morning, September 4, police responded to the scene of a fatal crash that took place on GA-65 in Pelham.
The Georgia State Patrol said that a passenger was killed when a driver attempted to flee from police and lost control of their vehicle. When police were chasing the vehicle, the driver went off the side of the road, crashing.
Police have not commented on the exact circumstances that initiated the chase but have said that a passenger was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
At this time, police have not commented on the exact charges that the driver will be facing. Their investigation continues at this time.
