Flowery Branch, GA (September 15, 2019) – Around 10:34 a.m. this morning, police confirmed that one person was killed and three were injured in a car accident on GA-365.
The accident took place in the southbound lanes of GA-365 and involved a Dodge Ram pickup truck towing a camper and a Lexus passenger vehicle.
A 47-year-old man was driving the Lexus and traveling east on Hazel Creek Road. The driver did not stop at the stop sign in the area, traveling in the path of the Dodge. The truck immediately ran into the driver’s side of the Lexus.
The driver of the truck was identified as an 80-year-old man with 76-year-old and 77-year-old passengers. They were all transported by ambulance to the hospital.
According to police, the driver of the Lexus was entrapped and pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
The southbound lanes of the highway were closed for two hours. The investigation into the accident continues at this time.
