Chamblee, GA (September 17, 2019) – At 5:50 a.m. this morning, police responded to the scene of a train accident that took place at the Chamblee station near New Peachtree Road.
According to authorities, the man survived the accident but was taken to the hospital by ambulance for injuries to his hip and leg. Luckily, the injuries are not considered life-threatening in nature.
Police confirmed that rail service was suspended for approximately two hours on the Gold line running from Chamblee to Doraville. By 7:30 a.m., services were up and running once more.
MARTA police are still working on their investigation into the accident at this time.
