Atlanta, GA – Update: Teen Dies After Pedestrian Accident on Parkway

Atlanta, GA (September 8, 2019) – On Friday morning, a teen was struck in a pedestrian accident while walking to school. In an update, it was stated that he passed away due to his injuries.

According to authorities, the crash took place at 2400 Donald Lee Hollowell Parkway. A 14-year-old boy had been walking to school when he was struck by a passing vehicle.

When authorities arrived at the scene, they found that the teen had suffered severe trauma due to the crash. He was immediately transported to the Grady Memorial Hospital where he received medical treatment. However, the teen tragically passed away this morning.

The car that struck the teen allegedly stayed at the scene of the accident so that they could assist the police. There was an 11-year-old child in the vehicle who received a laceration to his finger and is expected to be okay.

The investigation is currently ongoing.
