Atlanta, GA (September 24, 2019) – A school bus with Fulton County was involved in a serious accident on I-285 today. At the time, police confirmed there were 47 children on the bus.
Cobb County Police immediately responded to the scene of the accident, where they found that a bus and another vehicle had collided with one another. The bus was allegedly struck from behind by the driver of a Ford Fusion.
The bus pulled over on the side of the road near the accident. One person was injured but it was a party in the Fusion and not one of the 47 children.
The car had severe front-end damage and had to be towed from the scene of the accident, but the bus did not have significant damages.
The driver of the Ford received a citation for following too closely. The investigation into the accident is currently ongoing.
