Atlanta, GA (September 22, 2019) – On Saturday morning, September 21, Atlanta Police responded to a fatal hit-and-run on the T. Harvey Mathis Parkway in Atlanta.
Witnesses stayed at the scene to speak with police and claimed that they saw an unidentified woman walking north on the highway. Suddenly, she was struck by a passing vehicle.
Officers were immediately dispatched to the scene but, by the time that they arrived, the suspect had already fled.
Police have not been able to identify the driver. The woman was tragically pronounced dead at the scene of the accident but has not been identified.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision is ongoing.
