Edison, GA (August 26, 2019) – This morning, August 26, police responded to the scene of a fatal accident on Highway 1 in Edison that took the life of an officer.
The Wadley Police Department arrived at the scene of the accident, where they found that the officer died from injuries sustained at the scene of the accident.
Police did not yet release the circumstances that led to the accident but said that the officer, who has since been identified by police, was severely injured in the crash. He has been described as a devoted and brave officer.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues at this time.
