Ringgold, GA (September 24, 2019) – Around 4 p.m. this afternoon, Ringgold Police responded to the scene of a head-on collision at the intersection of Highway 151 and Yates Springs Road.
The accident took place when two vehicles collided with one another head-on for reasons that are not yet known. The accident led to injuries in several parties and caused at least one person to be ejected.
Highway 151 was closed down in the area for quite some time, causing to delays in the area.
After further investigations, police confirmed that the party ejected from the vehicle was a child. They were ejected onto the pavement of the roadway. The driver who caused the accident is now facing several charges including driving with a suspended license, improper passing, seatbelt violations, and more.
The investigation into the accident is ongoing at this time.
