Louisville, GA (September 27, 2019) – Police claim that one person was killed in a serious and fatal crash that took place at the intersection of Wilcher Road and Highway 1 in Louisville.
The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office and other responders were called to the scene of the accident yesterday morning, where they found that a passenger vehicle and a tractor-trailer had been involved in an accident.
The driver of the passenger vehicle passed another car and struck a tractor-trailer in the other lane head-on. They may not have seen the truck coming at the time.
The driver of the truck was not injured, but the driver of the passenger vehicle was tragically pronounced dead at the scene of the collision.
Details are limited at this time, but police continue their investigation into the accident.
