Dalton, GA (September 3, 2019) – Around 7:03 p.m. on Sunday, police responded to the scene of a fatal motorcycle accident that took place on Maddox Chapel Road in Dalton.
Police said that the accident took place after a police chase. A 21-year-old man was weaving in and out of traffic and failed to yield, which is when a trooper started following him.
The man’s motorcycle rolled on the highway. Police are not sure of the exact circumstances leading up to the accident.
The name of the victim has not yet been released and the investigation into the accident is currently ongoing.
