Dalton, GA (September 17, 2019) – In Dalton, police confirmed that a pedestrian was killed in a fatal accident involving a truck and trailer on US-41 at the Pilot Travel Center.
Whitfield County deputies responded to the scene of the accident, where they found that a man had gotten pinned and trapped between a truck and trailer on Friday morning in the entrance to the truck parking lot at the station.
Paramedics arrived at the scene but were unable to help the pedestrian, who was pronounced dead at the scene. His name or identity has not yet been released.
Police continue to investigate the circumstances leading up to the accident.
