Dacula, GA – Hit-and-Run Accident at Gas Station on Harbins Rd

Dacula, GA (September 10, 2019) – Gwinnett Police responded to the scene of a hit-and-run accident that took place at a gas station on Harbins Road in Dacula.

The accident took place this last week when a woman had been parked at an air pump at the BP gas station on Harbins. She got out of her vehicle and went to the passenger’s side so that she could put air in her tire, which is when a man got into his car and backed out of his parking space.

The man stopped his vehicle and put his car into reverse, where he backed up at a high speed and struck the victim’s vehicle. The vehicle slammed into the woman, causing her serious injuries and immense property damage.

The man then fled the scene of the accident and did not return to the scene or call police.

Police are now searching for the man who appeared to be in his 20s. The investigation into the accident is ongoing at this time.

Our thoughts are warmly extended to the injured victim and her family at this time. We hope she receives a full recovery.
