Atlanta, GA (September 18, 2019) – DeKalb County Police responded to the scene of a two-vehicle accident that took place in the northbound lanes of I-285.
According to authorities, the crash took place around 5:32 a.m. this morning on the outer loop. When police arrived, they found that two vehicles had collided with one another, identified as a white sedan and a black SUV. The two vehicles were promptly moved onto the right shoulder.
Police claim that the two parties were able to get out of their vehicles but that paramedics responded to the scene of the accident. They did not comment on the extent of the injuries.
There were delays leading into Stone Mountain for quite some time until the scene was cleared.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
