Atlanta, GA (September 1, 2019) – Tonight, September 1, police and other responders arrived at the scene of a car crash on I-75 that led to injuries in a police officer.
The accident, according to police, took place in the southbound lanes of I-75 in the area of Cleveland Avenue. The accident prompted police activity in the area due to injuries to an officer.
Police are not sure what led to the accident involving two or more vehicles but the officer who was injured was taken to the hospital for treatment. He is expected to recover.
The driver who caused the accident was taken into custody for reasons unknown.
The investigation into the accident is ongoing at this time.
