Atlanta, GA (September 3, 2019) – A 3-year-old was confirmed dead following a serious ATV crash that took place on the Old Tennessee Highway in Atlanta, according to police.
The child was a passenger on a Polaris Ranger driven by a 14-year-old. Police claim that the child was the son of the athletic director at the Allatoona High School and assistant principal at another local school.
At the time, the 14-year-old was traveling south when his Polaris crossed into another lane of traffic and he flipped it off the side of the road into a ditch.
The 3-year-old was killed but the teenager only sustained injuries. Police are not sure of the relationship between the two at this time.
The investigation into the accident is ongoing at this time.
We would like to offer our deepest condolences to the family of the deceased victim.
ATV Accidents in Georgia
ATV accidents are not as common as other types of accidents on our roads but, when they do occur, they tend to lead to serious and life-changing results, even fatalities at times. ATV riders, like bicyclists and motorcyclists, have few protections from harm, which means that death could occur in the blink of an eye due to one of these accidents. You have a right to bring a wrongful death claim if you have lost someone you love in one of these accidents.
At Kenneth S. Nugent, PC, our attorneys understand the emotional and financial turmoil that a parent might face after they have to say goodbye to a child due to the negligence of another person in an accident. If you have lost someone close to you and you believe that you are entitled to reimbursement, there are many ways that you can go about your claim. Please contact us for more information on how we can assist you at (888) 579-1790.
