Snellville, GA (August 27, 2019) – On Tuesday afternoon, August 26, police responded to the scene of a fatal truck accident at the intersection of State Route 10 and US-78.
The crash took place when the truck driver was driving along with a load in the back of the truck and the unsecured load went through his cab, where it struck him. This happened when the truck driver had to stop short and the load of steel beams went through his cab. This pinned the driver, according to the Snellville Police Department.
The driver has since been identified as a 76-year-old man who was tragically pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
The intersection was closed down for some time while police worked at the scene of the accident. It remains under investigation at this time.
