Norcross, GA (August 29, 2019) – A woman was killed yesterday, August 28, when she was involved in a hit-and-run accident and chased after the driver, leading to her demise.
The 23-year-old woman had been stopped on Steve Reynolds Boulevard when she was suddenly rear-ended by a white truck, according to Gwinnett County Police. The truck then fled the scene.
The woman chased after the truck and saw it turn into Venture Drive. When the woman attempted to make the turn so that she would not lose track of the driver, she allegedly pulled out in front of a box truck and was struck.
The woman received severe injuries and was taken to the hospital. While there, she passed away due to her injuries.
The truck driver continues onward and never called police. Police are still looking into the identity of the driver.
The investigation continues.
At this time, our sincere condolences are warmly extended to the family and friends of the victim of this accident.
